Terra Dreams

Each artwork in this series begins with a scene I have captured in the camera. These are the moments where I've lost track of time and space and intuitively interact with the world around me. They are strongly based in the beauty I find in decay and transformation, but further themes are the juxtapostion of movement and stillness, as well as my esoteric desire to represent the harmony I feel in a good piece of music.
Once the image is printed on rice paper I use water-based and oil paints, encaustic, various found objects and other art mediums to transform the artwork into its own unique piece.
